Artist’s Biography
I’m Ana Maria Botero – woman, wife, mother, architect and artist. I was born in Bogota, Colombia. I proudly graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana as an architect. I immediately began working designing residential buildings for a family company until 2001. My life then brought me to the United States. I moved to Florida with my husband and children where I found my self working for Vigneault & Hoos Architecture Inc. Due to my husband’s work we once again moved, this time it was to the state of Colorado. Although I love architecture, my heart is currently won over by art. It has always been a hobby of mine but is now my passion.
Most of my work is semi-abstract and abstract.
My goal is to present a serie of paintings with vibrant colors, texture and composition that catch the eye, intrigue the mind and capture the observer with emotion and excitement.
